I think its for several reasons. They have "invested" (if you can call it that since very few mods add value to a car) money into a car and are looking to recover some if not all or more of the cost which is very dumb to me and not the way I operate.
or
Maybe they jack the price up because they think that will help them to "trade up" by giving the car the illusion that it is worth more because of the mods.
or
They think people are idiots and are waiting for one to come along in a crumbling economy with a wad of cash.
If you ask me its dumb. Try and price your car a little above what youll take for it for haggling purposes sure, but "mods" are just used parts. The only value they add is what you could sell them for if you took them off and a vehicle is worth what its worth and I dont mean KBB or NADA but what people are actually paying people for these things.
I think you'll find that the people doing the most business on here are the ones that are sensible.
Now....If you mean the people that put their cars on here for 999,999 and mess like that I change those to a dollar and move them to the bottom of the list.
