Heres my latest waste of time!!! Had a offer from ronnie_murphy1234 for his 97 lifted Suburban on 24s for my 95 Caprice.. After several texts, phone calls talking to him and his wife me telling him the good and bad on my car and him doing the same we agreed to meet halfway to trade.. Him being in Texas and me being from Iowa that was 425 miles apiece.. The last call i got from him was him saying your not gonna back out are u cuz im a man of my word and if i meet im trading, i said no sir im not the kind of guy that backs out on a deal..i left Saturday morning at 3am drove 6 and a half hours to the meeting spot. We met looked at each others rides he looks at me and says that my car does not have enuf tread on the tires to pass Texas inspection and he cant trade!!!! The worst part was i told him that my tires were worn and not new..... So i guess what im saying is if you are planning on doing any business with this guy you better check Texas inspection and make sure that your car or truck will pass because hes not gonna tell you until you rive 400 plus miles!!!

Another reason that we need a rating system for people and the Senior Member Forum!!!!!

That is some kinda BS man.... I doubt that is the actual reason he backed out. People need to be sure they want to make deals before wasting peoples time and money.

Yeah 425 miles is a long way to go for a trade but when a guy says this is set in stone and a mans word is all he has and he is a man of his word you sometimes think that that person is telling the truth but i guess this guy just walks all over his word without a problem!!!! There are several people on here that i have traded with in the past that i KNOW for certain i could drive 1000 miles and the trade would happen because they are straight shooters.... This is where the Senior Member Forum will come in handy to avoid all the bullshitters on the site!!!
