In Kentucky you have to have the vehicle inspected at the Sheriffs dept before you can get it licensed. And you have to have the inspection sheet filled out by the person you buying/trading from and notarized or you have to pay retail price taxes.....It is CRAZY... So basically u have to get it inspected then fax it back to the seller...Or do like I do and beg for a stack of inspection sheets! :lol:

Well, I ended up with a Vehicle from Southern West Virginia. All I needed was the Title, Signed by the Owner and Myself (Buyer), and a Notarized Bill of Sale. Took that to my DMV, got it VIN Inspected, then got the Ohio Title made. The Cost was $3.50 Inspection Fee, then the Taxes on the Amount we put on the Title and Bill of Sale. Pretty Simple! ;)
