No propellers in the can, just a larger oriface in the tip. You have to keep shaking the gun a little between passes so the flake doesn't settle. Just about all generic guns should be able to handle this. It's only the high dollar guns that you have order a seperate nozzle.

Check out Coastairbrush.com they have what you need. Even one you put the flake on dry. And yes they do make a gun with propellers in the bottom of the cup. I have one and use it just for metalflake. But this new dry flake gun seems like it would use alot flake. Maybe not.

Wow this is an old thread.

Yes, they do have an agitator cup with an air driven mixing screw in it, and it can be helpful in a few situations, but it's not really all that neccesary.
MOST heavy flakes are smaller than a typical .08 primer tip and can pass through with no problems. You have to adjust your speed and not apply too much material with the larger tip.
In most cases, it should only take about 5-8 minutes to put down one coat of paint on an average size vehicle. With all of the movement, and keeping the paint in the cup moving between sprays (like walking around the vehicle), the flake will not settle so quickly as to NEED a special agitator to keep it spraying even.

.08? I use a 1.4 for base coats and clear. And a 2.0 for primer. You might get a .08 for a airbrush.

You're right. My bad. I was out in the garage doing a valve adjustment on a 22RE and had .08 stuck in my head. I meant 1.8. Lol.
Work just blends into everything else all day. Lol.
