why dont you try listening to them on youtube? Given that there are multiple generations of eclipse and several different engines that would be a good place to start.

I have a 96 up for sale and mine has an excellent deep tone not a fart can all i did was cut off the pipe at the flex pipe ran 2.5" pipe or had the muffler shop do it straight back they put the o2 sensor portion of the pipe in with it behind the o2 sensor we put a 25" 2.5 in 2.5 out put thrush glass pak use factory pipe mounting points up and over the rear out to a tilted 18" 2.5 in 3.5" out tip thats 9"s in center diameter and i get tons of compliments daily and machanics swear its a v-6 until i pop the hood lol!!

For a N/T, Don't go larger than a 2.5in' Exhaust at best. The Exhaust cams have a more aggressive grind to make up for not being Turbo'd. You, of course, would like a little less restriction from the factory exhaust, so anything between that and 2.5in' is optimal.

Also, you could try fabbing up your own exhaust as the exhaust under our cars tend to have a horrible pathway to the tail-end.

If you want sound, do what the guy said above. You won't get ANY better performance out of it.

If you want performance, free up flow-pathway and keep your pressure.
