I'll give you my opinion. It's unique, but it's odd (compared to what's hot on the market right now). It's one of those vehicles that MAY have a following, but it may be limited. One may have to weigh the facts such as age, price, and what all has been done compared to what someone can do with a similar amount of money to something that may have more market appeal (such as dropping $12k into a different vehicle that has a better chance of selling). If I had the option, I would probably be more willing to pick up an EK hatch at a decent price, do a K swap, throw some wheels and suspension under it for about the same amount you are asking, have fun with it for a while, and if I decided to sell it, I know I could get some of my money back out of it because of the attraction the market has for such cars. Yours, while interesting, may not "show" it's real value as high as your price tag. It looks fun, and I do not doubt that it's top notch, but the market is what makes or breaks it. I am one to buy certain vehicles to fix up and sell for a profit, and right now, with the market so out of whack, I'm having a hard time finding cars I can get at a good price, and with some work, actually find buyers that are willing to pay for them. Heck, I can't even sell a $600 utility trailer, even though through all of my research of similar trailers for sale, mine is priced lower than average. Let alone the fact that the only offer I have had on my Airstream has been a street bike. Lol. It's tough right now, unless you are willing to take less and less, or if someone just happens to want to trade something you would really like, even if it's a trade down for you. Good luck! |
