i have a 1993 civic coupe with a stock d16z6 idk if i should turbo this motor or go with a motor swap to a dohc |

Depends on how far your willing to go with it... Assume both are in a coupe.. d16z6 < LS Swap d16z6 turboed > LS swap d16z6 with 50+ shot of nitrious > LS swap d16z6 turbo/nitrious = LS Swap w/GSR trans d16z6 turbo/nitrious < LS Turbo Swap d16z6 turbo/nitrious < LS-VTEC Swap |

Well if there is nothing wrong with your current setup, you could always just boost and juice it until it blows, and THEN swap. Lol I know of a guy who goes through 5.0 engines like toilet paper. He gets one off CL cheap, throws it in with like a 250 shot, wins money at the dragstrip, goes home, drops in another 5.0, does it all over again. I may be exaggerating the 250 shot, but I know it's alot because the motor only handles a dozen or so passes before it starts to go out. |
