traded for a car that had been title jumped by what i have found out for sure to be atleast 5 people got a temp tag then my kids were in the truck and left the window down with my paper work in the seat storm came through and blew away all paper work now trying to find last registered owner to get a new title |

Depends what state you live in but if the title is open all you really need to do is file for a title following the abandoned car laws in your state. Some states make you run the car in the paper for 30 days and after that they will give you a clear and open title for your car. Hope this helps......... |

in alabama,you can log in to title division and pay 3bucks for an owmership search,,not sure which state you are in,,but here id just apply for lost title in the last persons name,, |
