I was using an Abu Garcia Ambassador 6000 Reel on a 10' Ugly Stick with 20LB. Test Line and a Bluegill Head as Bait.

Ive never caught a catfish that big, but ive seen em and I bet you were tired. I had to see what the fuss was about and holy crap man that a big fish to hook out of a damn lake on a pole. We have catfish here as big as men....nobody catches them though. You can research them by looking up "Santee" its a lake in SC. When they repair the damn there they send scuba divers down with spear guns to protect the people working on the damn form the catfish lol.

My cousin has fished at Santee. He drives down and fishes for a week, every year. We were planning on going together this year, but with me being on Lay Off at work, I really cant afford the trip now. I know he has pictures of a few 50 and 70 LB'ers that he caught down there. I do think we are planning to go fishing this weekend in the place where I caught mine, but Im not for sure yet.
