Don't be that guy who takes a picture of several $100 bills
and tells people how much money you have and what it is
that you are looking for. We are not impressed. I just
locked a guy's account because he did that. I first locked
his listing with the warning that he should go find what it is
he is looking for and make an offer because it will not
come to him. He decided that he would ignore this warning
and post another ad like this so I locked his account. Then
he came up with the brilliant idea to create another account
with a different user name and do it again so I locked that
account and banned him from the site. Now he is sitting at
his computer looking at his screen that says "Page Cannot
Be Displayed" thinking that Mautofied.com must be down.
Well it is down, but only for him. I know that some of you
think that we have too many rules here at Mautofied but
without these rules our site would lose our appeal to those
members who are tired of the crap you have to deal with
on sites like craigslist and others. I'm not saying that you
can't find some good deals on those sites because you can
but there is a lot of BS and scams out there. If you see an
ad that you think might be a scam please hit the "Report
Abuse" link on that ad and send it to us right away. This is
anonymous so please don't ask us to respond to you
because we have no way of doing so. We also appreciate
any comments, suggestions, or even compliments about
our site so if you have something that you would like to
share with us send a message to help@mautofied.com we
would love to hear from you. Have fun and thank you for
being a member of Mautofied!

Super Patrick, that is a awesome thing you did. You may have saved the mans life in the long run. He is advertising that he has a large amount of cash and that can draw the wrong crowd. He is basically offering himself as a victim to scammers.

I also would like to clarify this to all the cheap people on this site. The only way to actually get a [censored] load of offers is to buy bumps for your ad. Don't delete and re post everyday because that is dumb. You can re post it in one click after you buy them, and you keep all your offers. If your bumps run out you can purchase them for $5.00 and up. $5.00 gets you 10 bumps. I will usually not trade for a car with free ad. I choose not to because if a seller does not think their car is worth paying a few extra dollars to enlighten the potential buyers about the car, Usually they are as cheap about fixing problems on their car as they are with giving it exposure. A person who has a nice ad with tons of pics and info are the ones to look at. People who have vague descriptions and 1 picture usually have something to hide. Not everyone though, i have found some free ad cars that were pretty nice, but not all of them. The money is well spent if you start bumping, trust me. I have sold or traded 14 cars in the last year off this site.

I never thought of it like that before. You have several
very good points. Thank you. You are absolutely correct.
Bumps = Offers. Everyone on here knows it too otherwise
there wouldn't be any removing and re-posting. The people
who remove and re-post will get caught. I lock at least 4
accounts every day for that very reason.

You know what? I just looked into your account because I
remembered seeing your user name recently and I noticed
that I sent you a warning about removing and re-posting
the other day. I would like to apologize to you because I
sent the warning after I noticed you removed your FREE ad
for the Trans Am and re-posted it. What I didn't realize was
that you replaced it with an upgraded Free ad with 10
Bumps and 5 pictures. I removed the warning from your
permanent file and gave you a couple extra Bumps for the
inconvenience.

wow dude your going to miss alot of good deals if you profile people and there ads that way....ive bought ads and ive got free ads and it had no bearing on what kind of car/truck it was. I say that idea of yours is pretty stupid.

Nodubs. I did say that not all of the cars are junk that are posted on free ads, read my post in full. I have gotten lucky on a few but have been burnt on most. When i see a detailed ad i know what to expect when i trade. However Free ads make the car look cheaper and people leave a lot of thing out of there ad, usually bad. I understand if you are selling a $5,000.00 and cheaper vehicle and use a free ad. But being that people overprice their cars on some sites it is hard to tell if the vehicle is really worth the asking price. If you put $15,000.00 into a car like me and you. You should show off the work you have done. Plain and simple that little bit of effort says a lot. If you want exposure you have to bump your ads and have more detailed pics and info. Simply look at the number of offers on a Detailed Ad as opposed to the number of offers on the Free Ads. Thanks Super Patrick, i appreciate the bumps because they really help. Thank you.

The bumps would help you get offers, but if you have something that people want they will look and offer. So not wanting to trade with someone that doesn't have means to pay for an add is wrong cause the nobuds guy has had his add up for 3 day and has almost as many views as the trans am that has been on here for atleast 16 days maybe more, so its like not going to a store cause you don't like the color of the people who own it

And I have been guilty of removing adds and reposting them in the past but have stopped and i apologize for it

I'm gonna have to check with Marshall about your ads not
showing up in here but he just left the office 10 minutes ago
and I'm not sure when he will be back in. It might be because
you have 22 active listings on your account. Maybe there is
not enough room to show all of them so it might not show any
of them. I'll find out and let you know.
